Videogames Classics online store coming soon!

Yes, an old dream is about to come true! We are giving the final touches to our online store, and we will have many surprises for the classic gamer! Our store will offer classic retro games that are tested and guaranteed to work, and those will be displayed on the site in a different way than other retro game online stores. You’ll be able to see images of the actual game you’ll be buying instead of a stock photo of the cover of the game with no way to know if the game has a nice label, has any scratches or if the case is cracked and how big the crack is! Most sites only list the game and if it comes with manual or case, but you can’t see the actual game.

This means that if you see listings for Sonic the Hedgehog for the SEGA Genesis on the store, which is a very common game, you actually might see 5, 6 or even 10 copies of the game, all listed individually, one with a perfect label, case and cover but no manual; another that is cartridge only and even complete in box with cases and labels in different conditions. The pictures will show them all, and you’ll see different prices for different items in different conditions.

The same rule will apply when we buy your used games. Yes, we will have a trade-in system and you’ll be able to use your old games as credit for any item in the store, and we will give more credit for items that come with manual or come complete. Usually a case with insert in good condition, in a SEGA Genesis games, will give you an extra $3 in trade-in credit. A manual, will give you an extra $2 in trade-in credit and so forth and so on.

Now, we will also have consoles, “merch” (t-shirts, keychains, etc), hookup replacement cables, replacement cases, literally everything for the retro gamer!

We are also planning to offer something very controversial as well. Reproductions! Yes, not everyone is a collector. In many cases, people just want to “play” the game on an original console, and in that case, we will have Reproductions of overly expensive games, at affordable prices, ALL OF THEM, marked as REPRODUCTIONS, and at really affordable prices.

WE are even planning to work with game translators to bring translations of Japanese games to the U.S. in a reproduction cartridge, for those that want to play them on their original consoles in their own language.

As you can see, the plans are many, and we are working hard to debut this week! Yes, this week! Albeit, with a reduced inventory, a “soft open” if you may… but we want to get the ball rolling on this as soon as possible!
