Now you can play SEGA CD games from a FPGA cartridge with Terraonion’s MEGA SD

What everyone was waiting for finally is here. An excellent solution for people that want to enjoy SEGA CD on real SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive consoles, without the need of the clunky and defective-prone SEGA CD unit from SEGA.

Terraonion just announced their MEGA SD FPGA cartridge, that allows for you to do just that. Slip a few SEGA CD ISOs inside the MEGA SD cartridge via a microSD card, and put the MEGA SD on your SEGA Genesis and you are ready to go!

New MasterGear v4.2 Released!

A New MasterGear 4.2 for Windows and Linux was released today, and this version fixes several bugs in the replay feature and adds remaining replay time display.

MasterGear (MG) is a program that emulates 8bit SEGA videogames on your computer. It runs games made for SEGA MasterSystem (Mark3 in Japan) and GameGear, as well as their predecessors: SG1000, SC3000, SF7000, and Mark2. MG will also help hobbyists who still write software for these systems to debug their works without using rare and costly development hardware.
